Fall Fair: Lucette/Dan

The fall fair went well and lots of volunteers to bring everything back. Greg did a great job of spacing the entries. The schedule will be changed to three distinct vegetables. Tomato three distinct varieties. We will need to look at what 2020 would look like without Jennifer and Betty in future discussions

Notes from Lucette via email.

  • The BCCGC came to our FHF to look at the hall and get some ideas as they’re holding it at Bonsor. They had a lot of concerns which I hope we were able to alleviate. They asked Martine to borrow her tablecloths as they are trying to reduce their costs and not getting a formal caterer this time. We need to decide on Tuesday who should be the second delegate. Given that she loaned her tablecloths I’m thinking Martine, but we can chat.
  • Review of Fall Harvest Fair and any feedback. Should we survey the members? Lessons learned. Discuss options for next year- Same 2-day event, 1-day FHF-logistics, including it at every meeting show bench and NO FHF, etc.
  • Anything for October pot luck? (we will be away- gather memory sticks with photos for Nov. mtg.)
  • Christmas- anything outstanding at this time? Selling tickets at next meeting etc?
  • Do we do recognition for volunteers in November? Joanne thought no cake since we had so much left-over pastry she was freezing.
