Called to order at 7:07 by Syl. Thanks to Syllcome to Vince and Greg, 2 new steering committee members.

Treasury Report: Elizabeth
Dan to provide raffle prize to B.C. Council AGM, budget is approx. $35.00. Auditors report has been completed. Financial report attached to the minutes.
Membership

Website under development by Frank. Password protected areas are being developed for executive and general membership.
Guest speaker / Advertising Coordinator: Greg Templeton
Amanda (March speaker) will posting on her website, the plant sale. Vince will email the newsletter. bulletin. Two speakers booked for April. 2 litre milk containers needed for Bob Rutherford’s demonstration. and speaker Warren about stink bugs. Vertical Gardening for May

Content needed. Burnaby library flyer will be in the April issue. Avoid copyrighted articles. Please email exact text, not a descriptor. Showbench needs to be in detail. Lucette to share previous showbenches. Deadline is March 20th.
Sunshine: Judy Vander
Paul Vander is recovering from hip surgery. Nancy is undergoing further therapy and in less pain. Please ask Judy to send a card. Shirley Bailey is away in Spain, husband took ill and they remain in Spain for treatment. Hopefully we can send a card when they return. Vince will put obit for Ev Harris in newsletter.
Fall Fair: Lucette Wesley
Early days, order the potatoes soon, letter needs to go to the mayor. All the country fair items are completed by Lily. Lucette will reach out to John Chepil to see if he is available for publicity. Email meetings will be informal and May will be the first meeting. Eliminate the arts room. Potatoes on the stage.
Old Business
Christmas Party
Sugar Mountain Catering is available for the date. Burnaby Firefighters have catering as well. Greg to gather further details.
New Business
Mandeville
March 16 and 17 Spring Fling. Lucette will bring the memberships and the some information. Len is on Sunday afternoon, Dan in the morning on Sunday. Lucette and Gene Kozier on Saturday.
Showbench
Extend the categories, suggestion for hot cross buns, crafts, jams and jellies to encourage more entries. Noisy during showbench. People need gentle reminders.
BC Council of Garden Clubs
Plant Sale
Charmaine will be back next week. Lucette will do brochures and flyers. Charly doing volunteers. Article about dividing plants and ready for fall fair. Syl going to check into info from Burnaby on invasive plants.
Presentation at the library
Planned again for 2019. Date(s) to be determined.
Summer Garden Tours
Greg will look into a possible date on a Sunday. May be sent out via email if newsletter deadline is missed.
Insurance
Liability insurance through BC Council, and a copy will need to be given to Bonsor. Lorna is the contact person when a copy is needed.
Picnic
At the Templeton’s, budget $100. If on Sunday, at 12 pm as to not conflict with those who attend church. Possibly July 14th.
Silent Auction/Potluck
50/50 draw. Members to be reminded that if items brought in do not sell, then they will need to take it out at the end of the meeting.
Burnaby Volunteer Event
Parks and Rec April 26th, Riverway Clubhouse. Charly and Martine to send pictures in advance. Martine and Charly to attend. Syl to call to confirm.
