Agenda
Meeting called to order 7:05 by Lucette. Syl, Maria, Sofia, Vince, Elizabeth, Dan and Betty in attendance.
Treasurer Report: Elizabeth
Attached to the minutes in the ‘red’ book. Statements will be sent electronically to save $5 per month.
Fall Harvest Fair:
Action item: Lucette will contact Mulberry regarding the teacups, Syl will call Greg and if not will call Fairhaven herself. The prizes will be pulled in alphabetical order next year. Moving forward we will need to have enough volunteers prior to committing to events. Fall Harvest Fair final figure is -$594.55.
Membership: Syl
Updated membership list circulated. Three new members. Burnaby councilor Mike Hillman will be added as an honourary member if re-elected next weekend.
Bonsor Liaison: Syl
No bill for December yet, Action item: Syl will check with Bonsor.
Newsletter: Vince
Due date October 19th closing date, out on the 26th
Speakers: Maria
No more speakers for 2022. Maria suggests Matt Johnson for the spring and will try to book Marilyn Holt again. Conway is always good. Consider Ron Long for later in the year.

Environment and Climate Change
Maria will connect with Greg about the mason jars.
Old Business:
November meeting: Lucette will make sure there are adequate papers to list the items and times. No volunteer needed for the auction. Lucette will bring laptop and contact Lorna about the projector. Will try the presentation on the wall and turn the chairs around when we get there. They are short presentations – Betty will go first approximately 10 minutes. The auction will have two closings, the first after Betty presents. Then Lucette will present and more bids. Close a table give 15 minutes and then close the second table. Syl and Sofia will assist at the table by the stage for people to pay.
Lucette will write up a note about the streptocarpus for the newsletter 4 varieties Roulette Cherry, Harlequin Sapphire, Blue Mars and Cynthia Magenta, will be decided by popular vote, with cash prizes. First prize $10, second and third are $5. Betty will bring ballots
Elections
Election should be simple. The following members will return in 2023 Betty, Syl will continue to do membership and Bonsor, but not to chair meetings, and will ask for someone to shadow, Elizabeth, Maria, Sofia will be away for part of the year, Vince, Lucette. Action item: Lucette will email Dan. Lucette will ask Len to run the election.
New Business:
Irene Sandie
Action item: Syl will write a short note about Irene Sandie for the newsletter. Information about the donation will be shared when we have more information.
Volunteer Dinner
Invitation received to Burnaby Volunteer dinner November 18th. Action item: Syl will ask Charly and Martine, if they are not available Syl and Elizabeth will attend. Action item: Vince will send pictures to Syl.
Burnaby Blooms
Action item: Lucette will offer to present something. We will not have a table.
Christmas Party
We will start at the usual meeting time. Potluck dessert only, We will have a big Show and Tell display of Christmas Cacti, houseplants, crafts, favourite Christmas cake, hat etc. Lucette will set up games start at 7:30, Vince will ask his band to play. There will be a $250.00 honorarium. Betty will co-ordinate food. Syl will send an email out re volunteering to the new members. Lorna Gross to do the Christmas blessing before dessert.
Darts Hill
The club went about 20 years ago. Plan for the spring. Sofia will organize.
