Minutes
Present: Lucette, Sofia, Betty, Dina, Elizabeth
Regrets: Syl, Maria
Called to order at 7:14 by Betty, my apologies for the issues with zoom tonight.

Secretary: Betty
Bradner Daffodil Festival is April 11, 12, 13. is Betty will ask if there is interest in carpooling and will bring a sign up sheet to the meeting. We will have to decide what day works the best.
Susan B. sent an email to the executive asking us to consider charging for guests and then reimbursing if they joined. We are finally increasing our membership base post COVID and the executive is reluctant to put a potential barrier to new members in place. We will continue to invite guests to join for free unless we have a special speaker such as Brian Minter.
Membership: Syl
Memberships are due now, $20 for individual and $25 for family. Betty will write a blurb for the newsletter because Syl is away right now. Notify people that they will not receive the newsletter after May if not paid. Contact Syl directly if you are unable to attend the meeting.
Bonsor Liaison: Dina
No report
Newsletter: Lorna
Deadline is Feb 20. A reminder that the monthly chair is responsible to writing an introduction to the newsletter for that month. Each month a member will be asked to do a short article on a flower, fruit, veg or herb. Maria is doing dahlias and Betty is doing pumpkins for the March issue. Lucette is doing a fruit, veg or herb for April. Betty will ask for a volunteer for a flower for the April issue. This can be anything. People can talk about their favourite, share the history or their experience with something in the garden, or whatever they want. Lucette will do the introduction for April
Lorna will be putting the following footnotes in future issues of the newsletter
• All articles submitted for inclusion are subject to editing, if required, at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
• Original material in this publication may be republished providing SBGC is given credit as the source.
