Executive Virtual Meeting via Zoom Feb. 21, 2023
Minutes
Called to order at 7:02 by Lucette. Vince, Maria, Sofia, Betty and Lucette attending.

Treasurer Report: Elizabeth
Report sent by email and will be in the ‘red book’. Transition is almost complete to VanCity. Waiting for two term deposits to mature and transfer. Cheques have been ordered. We have been given a credit card for club business. Lucette will watch that the credit limit stays low.
Secretary: Betty
Betty to complete the show bench schedule Betty will set up the next show bench as Dan does not feel up to doing it. Betty will register the AGM with the province this week.
Fall Harvest Fair: Lucette

BCCGC meeting April 1st
We need a second representative person. Lucette will be the voting rep. Lucette will ask Dina via email to attend. If not consider Ash.
Membership & Bonsor Liaison: Syl, Dina
2023 Membership Dues Syl sent an email, new membership list. Contract signed from April to August. Delivered the life membership tags to Gene and Joanne as they weren’t feeling well enough to attend the meeting.

(from Nov) Matt Johnson for March. Elizabeth has the cheque but it needs to redone. Lucette will introduce as Maria is away. Vince will reuse the same bio in the newsletter. Reuse the same bio and repeat. Maria needs to confirm Conway Lum for April. Andre Erasmus spoke at a recent BRAGS meeting and was a very good speaker on floral art. Fee is $100 and he is open to using flowers the club can supply. Maria will try and book him for either June or July.

Garden Tours
Dina will open her garden for a tour on July 23 1pm.
Dart’s Hill tour
Club to visit to Dart’s Hill Garden Park in Surrey. There was lots of interest by a show of hands at the last meeting. Sofia will organize via email as she is away until just before our planned date. Betty will assist if someone needs to call locally prior to Sofia returning. Sofia will plan for the third week in May, mid morning. Lucette will do sign up sheets for carpooling at the next meeting. We won’t book a bus. Will be in the third week in May, mid week, mid morning. Sign up sheet at next meeting. Carpooling. Possible lunch after.
Tools
Maria will contact Lorna’s neighbour regarding the tools that may be sold at the plant sale.
