South Burnaby Garden Club
2018 Annual General Meeting
Feb 6, 2018
Meeting called to order by Syl Davis at 7:35 pm
Welcome to everyone.
Motion to accept the minutes of the 2017 AGM. Moved by Len Gross, seconded by Lorna Hercheson. Passed.
Rotating Chair Report: Syl Davis
There will be new exhibitor numbers for the showbench and fall fair for 2018.
The steering committee for 2018 was confirmed at the November meeting. The only changes are that Judy Vander will be doing sunshine with Pat Humphrey stepping in when she is away and Branko Matkovic will be editing the newsletter.
In order to ensure continuity in operation of the club (given there is no elected President or Vice-President) we put forward a resolution that:
For the period beginning February 1, 2018 and ending January 31, 2019, the executive committee members will rotate the role of chairperson and organize monthly club meetings and club business according to the changes voted on at today’s AGM meeting. Moved by Pat Humphrey, seconded by Judy Vander, all in favour, passed.
Syl reiterated that our November meeting is meant to do and that is to thank all our club volunteers. Thank you to those in the executive steering committee for all their work in 2017 and all the many volunteers who have supported all our club activities- more than half of you here. Pats on the back for all.
