ClimateData.ca is a climate data portal produced collaboratively by the country’s leading climate organizations. The goal of this portal is to support decision makers across a broad spectrum of sectors and locations by providing the most up to date climate data.
This site explores the relationship between plants and climate across Canada. One portion of the site is dedicated to plant hardiness zone maps, another part of the site presents maps and models that summarize the climatic requirements of thousands of plants from across North America. A final aspect of the site gathers data and provides summaries about plants that occur in your area.
PlantWise is a provincial program that supports the (ornamental) horticulture industry's transition to become invasive-free, and is helping gardeners and industry understand which plants are invasive and harmful to our communities, and to make 'PlantWise' choices.
